What motherboard is best when it comes to gaming? I will be getting a spec 01 case with a Intel Xeon E3 1231 v3, a msi r9 390. My budget is around £80 I was debating between the asrock h97 and the b85 gaming motherboard but if you guys know any better ones please let me know. If not which ones better for gaming? Thanks

Solution
RAID=redundant array of independent disks

All of those MBs will fit, what model is the 55W? if you don't buy the PSU yet, may consider big size one because the r9 390 need 550W or up http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/powercolor_radeon_r9_390_pcs_8gb_review,8.html . You may need some headroom. Some thing like XFX TS 750W Power Supply 80 Plus Gold http://www.cclonline.com/product/179363/P1-750G-TS3X/Power-Supplies/XFX-TS-Series-P1-750G-TS3X-750W-Power-Supply-Unit-Easy-Rail-Plus-with-Full-Wired-Cables/PSU0839/?siteID=8BacdVP0GFs-252XQbOS9mWldvqOBv54tA or XFX XTR 650W Power Supply 80 Plus Gold...
Both H97 and B85 can only support up to 1600mhz RAM, the B85 does not support RAID set up. For games they will be not big difference. You have the xeon e3 and r9 390, those are good enough for games, because games will be either cpu or gup intensive. If you don't oc, and if you don't need the RAID, then get the B85. Like the asrock b85 killer, or the msi b85m gaming, or the msi b85-g43 gaming.

For the MB, pick msi b85m gaming or asrock b85 killer, your case can support mATX or ATX format MB.
