I currently have a FX-6300 series CPU released mid 2012 that gets around 3.5 baseclock and has a AMD 3 socket which my motherboard can handle easly. I have a M5A78L-M/USB3 from back in 2011. I'm looking to upgrade to something that can handle atleast 220W for the FX9590 that I plan to buy to reduce my CPU bottleneck in games as I have a Rx470 8GB. Anyone have any serious reccomendations? Not looking to spend loads, happy to go with something a little older if it fits the bill and doesn't break the bank. Cheers.

Your CSGO FPS will be high but don't expect high FPS on PUBG as it's still not fully optimized but if you adjust the settings you should still get some fairly high FPS.

What CPU would you reccomend instead then. I'd like something above 3.5GHZ. I have a Cooler Master Hyper T4 heatsink but dunno how much that will effect it. I don't watercool and I don't plan on it as I feel that it's too expensive for that level of CPU.

Without watercooling, it won't work. Since you would swap mobo and CPU anyway, it's best to make a step forward and move to new platform altogether. Although that would force you to swap RAM too, as all new platforms use DDR4, so your costs would go up. You could make either Ryzen build (something around R 1500X and B350 mobo) or Intel 8th gen build (i3-8100 with cheapest Z370 mobo), plus at least 8 GB of DDR4 RAM in both cases. Yes, it will cost more then what you planned, but at least those builds will work, giving you much needed upgrade in gaming experience.

I don't have the money to upgrade both Ram, CPU and MoBo atm. I have about 250 avaliable. Could change motherboard, get a 9590 and a Corsair h100i gtx Liquid cooler or something. Try and keep the beast in check.

Would you be able to go a bit higher on your budget? You could get a Ryzen 1200 which will perform better, consume less power & run much cooler then that 9590.
