Hey guys, what type of motherboard chipset can handle overclocking of the Pentium G3258? can a Z87 do it or is it limited to a Z97 board. If there are other options, please let me know.

Solution
Yes, sir, there are. Although Z97 motherboards are the best for overclocking, they are not the most cost-effective solution to pair with G3258; that's why most manufacturers enabled overclocking on their cheapest H81 chipset vis a simple BIOS update (works only with G3258, though - and make sure the board is with the latest BIOS). If you need a recommendation for a mobo, get Asus H81M-Plus, great mobo for the price.

Oh. But I heard people say that you can't overclock on an H type board?
