I am trying to upgrade my old cpu/motherboard/ram to something from this century and have found a CPU i like so far, the AMD FX-6300 (is this a decent 6 core? I am not switching to intel btw it's WAY too expensive for my pocket) and need a motherboard to support it but the reviews i have seen on Newegg leave me questionable.

So i ask, For an AMD FX-6300, what motherboard would be best with it? (I try to avoid ASROCK just because i've had 2 MBs in a row that have given me weeks of issues with my husband's PC)

Also I could care less about Overclocking, I don't do it. I'd rather prolong my CPU's lifetime than juice it for a few more GHZ. This is for a gaming PC however. My little Athlon X2 II 270 Regor just can't keep up anymore.

Well depends on how much your looking to spend on a motherboard but my self I used the gigabyte GA-970A-D3P it has been a good mobo for me and has worked well with the FX-6300 when I picked it up it was 89.99.

personally i wanna stay under $150 and its $95 on Newegg so that isn't too bad. That is the one I was actually considering the most, was just skeptical since they only have 8 reviews. Now I am a bit more inclined to give it a shot.
