what msi program should i use ? b85 gaming msi

i recommend getting all of them, because they are mostly drivers for audio and cpu technology

Agreed, at least get all your driver software. I would suggest against getting ny of the proprietary software offered with your board. These tend to be nothing but bloatware for your machine.

INTEL Chipset Driver: Definitely needed! But I would D/L from MSI or INTEL websites and install using their installers.

While your system is in standby, it will periodically wake up to update the applications that are open. When you return to your system and open the lid, the latest content will be at your fingertips."
This is not something that interests me.

Realtek HD Audio Drivers: Very necessary for onboard Audio. I would D/L from MSI and install outside of Live Update.

MSI Command Center: Optional. Displays operating info for various components on your MSI mobo and INTEL CPU. Also allows changing some parameters without shutting down and entering BIOS. I initially installed it but it stopped working for me. Prolly need to update it but just haven't got around to it.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT UPDATE YOUR BIOS WITH MSI LIVE UPDATE!! LU will sometimes botch a BIOS update and brick your MOBO.

M-Flash is better (safer) than LU. HERE is the best method.
