my pc :
nzxt phantom 530
seasonic 620w bronze
2310 sandy bridge i5
asrock h61
r9 280x toxic
zalman cnps14x - cpu cooler
ram is 4gb
can my cpu bottleneck my gpu?
or motherboard?
any suggestion thank you
i have less than 200 usd to spend
sandy bridge i5 is ok update your ram to 8gb in really seeing no issues with this build
when you feel your performance is slowing go to the max with a 3rd generation i7 check asrock site to see if this is fully supported each motherboard of the h61 series is diffrent but does require a bios flash
as going from ivy sandy to i5 ivy doesnt show to much improvement there very little jumps going from i5 sandy to a i7 3rd gen is a big jump
maybe the cpu bottlenecks but only a little bit. i dont think it's worth an upgrade, but if you want a cpu your best option would be a i5-3570K. none of the other need an upgrade.
