What OC should I am for?

I have a Gigabyte-965P-DS3, e6300 core 2 duo and...Corsair Value Select 667mhz 2x1GB 5-5-5-15 RAM. I release the RAM is the limiting factor in my OC but based on those parts what do you think the maximum overclock I should aim for is(both with stock and improved cooling).

Also, does anybody know what monitoring softwares work with Vista x64? So far i've only got the beta release of SpeedFan to work, but even that is showing the fanspeeds glitched.

9GHz. Don't listen to what these noobs say, you can make it on stock cooling. Don't worry about stepping either. Just max the options out and be done with it. But seriously, aim for 1GHz at a time. (In small increments of course). Don't go over a 1GHz OC if you are not very experienced in OCing.
