So recently I built a new pc and wanted to try out windows 11. When I get into the windows setup menu it says that my device is under the system requirements. But when I looked at the requirements my device fits perfectly.
Specs:
Msi gtx 650 2gb oc
8gb ram (4*2)
Msi 770-c45
Amd phenom ii x4 970 BE
And a 2tb hdd, ( not 100% sure if it works tho. I can hear it run but I cant seem to find it in my bios)

where and what did you see your pc meet the requirement?
I looked at the requirements on the Microsoft website. I looked at them and I didnt see something that was under the requirements. I could be wrong but most of these parts were in my previous built, which had windows 10 pro and it worked perfectly.

Your CPU is way off the bottom of the compatibility list.

Working with Win 10 is not nearly the same as working with Win 11.

You could look here:

But WHY Win 11?
It offers no specific benefit over Win 10.
Wdym? It has 4 cores (4 threads) and is way above 1 ghz and also supports 64 bit os. My pc is made for gaming. Not the triple A titles but Ive wanted to good pc games for so long, so thats why I went for windows 11. I heard it had 1-3 fps more in games than windows 10. That the reason.

Cores/threads/GHz is only a part of the issue.
Compatibility list:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/wi...supported/windows-11-supported-amd-processors

"Phenom" is nowhere on that list.

"I heard it had 1-3 fps more in games than windows 10"
And hearing from someone else, 5fps lower.

1-3fps is a poor reason for Win 11, even if it were true. Which it isn't.

Ur right, I just read an article about microsoft abandoning old amd cpus. Also, one other reason why I wanted windows 11 is bc Ive worked with windows 10 a lot. So I wanted to try the new version.

An old Intel CPUs.
Anything before 8th Gen Intel...not supported.

This is not new.
The issue is that Windows 10 spoiled us for compatibility with older systems.

A LOT of previous Windows versions did not give that same level of usability with older systems.
