What Partition to choose?

Hello; I am brand new here and not even certain if this is the correct forum. Eventual advice is welcome.
I have looked for similar topics by no luck...

I have a 1TB HDD with four partitions of about equal size. My Question:
Is there a speed difference (booting, running) between installing the OS in the first or the last partition?

Generally based on what your partition format is selected when mounting system

but all I can say is "What?".
All partitions are formatted in NTFS.
I was assuming that there might be a speed difference depending on inner or outer positioning of the OS partition.
Oh, the OS will be Windows 7 - if that makes a difference at all..

Hard drives are written from the outer tracks to the inner tracks. The outer tracks are the fastest. Whichever partition you created first is the one the OS should be installed to.

It shouldn't i would think, as the BIOS soley looks for a bootable header on the partition containing the OS. It doesn't go into checking every disk partition, so i would figure there would be no to minisule speed differences.
