So i only bought the parts for my pc last year and im wanting to build a bigger and better system. What parts can be resold individually and still work if not all? (sorry im not the most tech savvy) I am really just trying to get any money possible to help fund the new build. Also what are the chances of people actually buying these parts?

If your not the most Tech Savy how exactly did you manage to build a PC and not know what parts you bought? What can be reused and resold, It helps to know what you have. Reselling parts or trading is common I do it all the time do you get a fantastic price? No but normally depending on the brand 1/2 to 3/4 is fairly easy to recoup.

Ebay
Amazon

If they're still working then they could be sold... just don't expect a lot of money for older stuff. Since you said you wanted to have a "new build", you could just sell your entire system as a whole... but then again you could probably get more money if you sold them off individually.

Do you have any of the original boxes or packaging? If so, that could raise the resale value. Your best bet would be to search on sites like Craigslist or eBay for similar parts to see what people are charging for them to give you an idea on what to ask for. Just don't make the same mistake as so many by asking for too much.

Did you build your PC from a year ago or do you know what the components are? It would help because you most probably aren't limited by most of your hardware, it is most probably just the graphics card or CPU that is the bottleneck. To check what your cpu is, go to: Start Menu>My Computer>Properties>System. To check what your GPU is, right-click on your desktop and a menu will show up, and It will say Intel Graphics, AMD Catalyst, or Nvidia control panel. Click on that and it will tell you your graphics spec. If you want to avoid all that, just download Speccy to find all your specs It would also be helpful to know what your PC will be used for. Pretty much all of your parts can be resold, but it may not be necessary because you might not need to upgrade every apart. Nothing beats a new system though!

I'd say to sell the entire system that is pre-built (without HDD of course) for around $1100 to $1250 on eBay, Amazon or even a pawn shop

All used parts can be used in a new build unless they are not compatible. For example, you would not be able to use a new intel CPU with your old AMD mobo

So would yall suggest wholesale build or idv parts and how much? the only problem with the MOBO is that there is no USB 3.0 spot so the 2 ports on the front are useless.

i will not be reusing any parts myself except HDD

I'd sell the motherboard and the CPU and use the money to upgrade to a Xeon 1231 V3,

Video card is still fairly powerful, Don't upgrade if you are still satisfied with the performance and save up for a better card down the road.

Although if you can manage to sell the system for about $900-1000 that should give you headroom for a lot of better parts.

You would save the most money by not upgrading the whole system and just upgrading the CPU and graphics card

Probably 6300>8350 and 270x>290/970/980

Motherboard isn't very good, there's a high likelyhood of the 8350 throttling under full load just because of the VRM's overheating.

Upgrading to a Xeon 1231 V3 should give you the processing power to render videos and record fairly fast.

the Xeon is great value for money, basically an i7 4770 (4 cores, 8 threads Haswell) for the price of an i5. It's probably the CPU (6300) that would be the bottleneck.
