What plugs do I need to plug into my monitor from my PC....

Wait, am I using hdmi version 1.4 or 2.0?

either will do. HDMI 2.0 is newer and can carry upto 4k 60hz, and hdmi 1.4 is older but can carry that monitor and that refresh rate.

So use 1.4. Also this is what comes inside the gtx 970 box, do I use the wire under the CD and plug both of those into the Gtx 970 and the monitor?
http://

Then where would I get the plug to connect the GPU and the monitor?

However im using 1080 p

and? hdmi 2.0 is higher quality than 1.4, meaning it is more powerfull than 1.4 and can use UP TO 4k, meaning it can power 1080p.

you don't need to be super specific about the cable. hell even a DV-I duel link could power 1080p 144Hz.

and may I ask, are you building this computer yourself?
coming over from console gaming?
do you know how basic electronics work?
not being rude, just trying to understand your knowledge so I can better suit my self to helping you understand what your looking for.

1. Yes, I'm building it myself
2. No, I've just been playing on my school mac that doesn't run games very well.
3. Yes.
4. It's fine, this is just a subject that I've been trying to grasp for some time, it's just that I can't really... get it...

first off if your doing a self build Please get some help from a irl person who has built computers in the past, for my first build I would of screwed the whole thing up if it was not for my very small handed friend who helped me.

secondly Macs! Being a mac owner for 8 years, I know the pain of gaming on them(also let it be known that my pc will soon be getting another 980 for SLI 980 :) Sweet)

Thirdly good because Don't let these dumb arses at places like wal-mart fool you into thinking "hmm should I buy this $100 gold HDMI cable here or this $200 Displayport cable"
Because I used to think like that, but really don't spend over $15 for a decent 6foot HDMI cable.

and finally, I understand this to, I spent an entire year basicly off school (i'm in high school) studying Computers and circuitry, fun as hell and Building my pc is what got me a passing mark for that year.
