These are the main parts im getting for my pc Asus Nvidia GeForce GT 640,AMD FX6300 Black Edition 6 Core and Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 Motherboard. I was just wondering how do I power it?
sorry if this is a dumb question thanks in advance

Probably better off getting the XFX 450 instead of EVGA 500 since they are almost the same price but the XFX 450 has a 5 year warranty

The GT640 is somewhat weak and would be a good choice if you already had a power supply that isn't able to handle faster cards. I spent 4 months browsing between GT 640 and the HD 7770 / r7 250x. Ended up getting a HD 7770 and 3 r7 260x. I even kind of regret getting the HD 7770 since it is so different from the r7 260x which is based on a newer chipset.

Most of the other forum members use much higher end cards like the GTX 760, 770 and 780 or the r9 280x, 290 and 290x so I am not sure if they will have personal experience with the GT640 or r7 260x.

It gets complicated since the XFX Pro 450 is a dated power supply but the primary concern is the GT640 since it is not so great so is it possible to put more money towards the graphics card and get a r7 260x?

Get the EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply for £36.81 (3 year warranty)

For example, in India, the Antec VP 450 would be the best power supply available however it is quite dated and the EVGA 500B is newer but the XFX 450 is based on the Seasonic S12II platform.
