I have a 6300 fx and gtx 960 in the mail. What power supply should I use? I see it said 400 watt is lowest accepted. Mine is 450, was debating getting a 550 or 600.

Solution

Keep your PSU. No need to upgrade it. With a 450W you can easily operate a GTX960 and FX6300. No worries.

GTX 960 need a quality 430W PSU with 20Amps or more on its +12V rail. If the PSU is from a reputed brand like SeaSonic, Corsair, XFX, EVGA etc. It should be enough. Anyway tell your brand and its model no to make sure it will work 100%.

Cheers!

InWin 450W ATX12v PSU. I hope I didn't fuck up n buy more wrong sht lol. I found this site after I spent money on a CybertronPC Borg-Q GM4213A Desktop (Blue). I am disaapointed wanting to game hard.

Already bought the proc and vid card online so I'd have to re-sell if they don't work or buy another Motherboard which I was debating doing. noticed it was 95 watt max after buying the items. I was happy seeing the max was 95 on both i believe.

InWin 450W PSU has a max output of 30Amps on its combined +12V rail. GTX 960 needs 430W with 20Amps on +12V rail. Will be enough to power your rig.

So I'm fine then? 😀
