Well....im quite scared of mobile CPU's. I want to play next 2-3 years....also...8700 mobile will be 6core and also better for gaming for next years...I was also curious about gtx 1070, i wanted to wait for new Nvidia gpu's. But we still didn't see new desktop gpu, so if i wanted new ''2070'' laptop i would have to wait next months and thats the problem. Also, right now i can only get 8700 (desktop).
Look i will clear things up....i was always like a retard with new chips and new cpu's....when i was younger i always wanted the best for money i had
😀...right now i have budget about +-2000 eur. And for 1950 im able to get that octane i7 8700, Gtx 1070 OC, 120hz g-sync and 500gb SSD with 3years warranty/2 years for parts...
But you also told me that these laptops are not good, they have thermal throttling and so on....put aside weight...would i be disappointed with the model i wrote above? Ye also bad TN panel...
I'll post you in here laptops i was looking before this Octane.
HP Omen 17'' (gtx 1070, 120hz g-sync IPS, i7 7700HQ, 16 RAM
Eurocom MX5R3 (gtx 1070, 60hz g-sync IPS, 7820HK, 32gigs of ram
Asus G752vs (gtx 1070, 120hz g-sync IPS, 7820HK, 32 ram
Asus gl503vs (gtx 1070, 144hz g-sync, 7700HQ, 16 ram
Lenovo 910 (6820HK, 32gb ram, 75hz g-sync
I can order from Amazon, some sellers are not able to send me the product (I live in Slovakia)
Well, ive heard that MSI laptops are bad in terms of quality and also only TITAN pro has 120hz g-sync.
My only wish for laptop is G-sync cause in few years i won't be able to hit more than 60fps in some games...im not a type of person that holds pc for 10years...i would be newer one. My MacBook air lasted 4years with no problems at all and it is funny entry level of laptop. But i wasn't able to play anything on that. I would be glad if you help me out, cause i want to buy new laptop in 2 weeks from now

OH....i was so happy that i found company that is selling great laptops...so 1. huge overheating, 2. low quality display....right now i rly dont know what to get...should i stick to some manufacturer as HP or ASUS?...ye there is 120hz TN panel...you can order 4K one...but if overheating is a problem i rly dont know what to do now :/. Ill be moving a lot with laptop, thats why i wanted 15inch one, i wont play on my lap, but i have time to do a lot with pc at work also at home, sometimes i cant stay in a room with my desktop pc, so thats i want to buy powerful gaming laptop and some portable one. First pick was macbook pro 15inch...but apple wants 2.7k € for the basic 15inch model...thats insane...for 2.7k € i can get any gaming laptop i want...i have one macbook air, its 4 years old already and i can feel sometimes that time to change laptop has come. When i had gaming desktop pc i didnt play much, but with option to take gaming laptop with me, it would be great.
There is also option for me to take Eurocom MX5R3, its 7820HK, gtx 1070, 60hz g-sync IPS....i would save some money with eurocom, but if i can get a gaming beast in laptop, why not? But with the problems u described im not so sure

Hey, i finally found great site for laptops. Pcspecialist company will make me notebook for best price. Right now im interested in laptop with 120hz g sync, i7 8700 and gtx 1070. For this laptop would be 330w power supply enough. But, if i pay lil bit more euros, i can get gtx 1080, 120hz (without g sync) also with 8700 i7. But im rly scared that the laptop will be throttled under heavy gaming. 1080 needs up to 300W (1070 only 150W). Im scared that i will be sad after 2 years with the 1070 gtx and i wont have enough power for games. 1080 is beast, but in laptop with 330W power brick?...the model at pcspecialist (gtx 1070- octane IV 15” and 1080-octane IV 17”
Why are you getting a desktop in a laptop body? These are barely portable, will need to be cleaned of dust often to prevent overheating and are just a huge moneysink.
I back in the day got a 970m clevo from them (before they switched to another manufacturer) and recently it broke down. I got after paying a bit extra a new model with an i5 8400 and gtx 1070 and the amount of thermal throtheling was insane. This was in the thinner body.
I then got it sent back and went for the thicker one (the octane IV 15 inch you are looking at with the 8700) but that thing wheighed a lot and was not portable at all. Also the screen was afwul since it was a tn panel but it was among the worst I've ever used. I ended up just selling it and atm I'm using my backup dell laptop before I get a new one.
At most get the 1070 version with a i5 8400 to prevent major issues. 330w is more than fine for it as a 1080 + 8700 rig at max pulls about 250w then add the screen and you are looking at another 20 or so watts so you are safe.
Whats the max budget? I can find you a good one then. There are good 1070 laptops out there with 7700hq's that do not have problems. are easy to carry and are good quality.
