What power usage % should I limit myself to

Hey guys, I recently built a computer, my specs are gtx 980 ti 6gb, i7 6700k processor and 600W corsair psu. I want to overclock this rig and I was wondering what power usage I should limit myself to so that I don't go within a potentially damaging amount yet still getting a good overclock. I'm currently using MSI afterburner for a basic overclock, as well as the MSI gaming app

Hell, I have mine at max power and the max OC I was able to get is 1440mhz on the core and 8.2GHZ on the VRAM

I don't really wanna max power, i assume that is somewhat bad
