I am confused as to what processor I can upgrade to. I don't understand the difference between 4770k 4770s 4770t and 4770. Sandy Bridge vs Ivy Bridge etc...

Basically I know its an outdated socket and parts are getting harder and harder to find. BUT i do want to upgrade to an i7, and I want to know some options with the i7s, an extra 150$ isn't necessarily worth going the next step for a 2% performance boost. So any ideas what I can use?

My current Processor is the Intel i5-3330 @ 3.00GHz. LGA 1155.

Here are your options for an i7 with LGA1155 socket-

It's not worth the money to pay $459 for 3770k. You can get brand new 4790K and board for that much.
Basically what I'm saying is there's nowhere to go with LGA1155 unless you are willing to settle for sandy bridge 2600 cpu. Time to move on to LGA1150 or new Skylake.
