and my pc is a lenovo y700 desktop. but its no longer anywhere online. and i have upgraded it a lot since getting it. im pretty sure the motherboard is cheap but idk. and the only reason i wanted to get an ssd is for it to maybe fix my lag spikes frame drop issues in games. idk if its to do with my hardrive or anything

Not good ones, except for the occasional Corsair CX on sale. If you had bought a good one in the first place, you wouldn't have to buy a second one now.
will this power supply stable my fps and performance then? considering i have a shitty 430 watt bronze one powering a gtx 1070 i76700k and 16gb ram

An SSD probably won't fix lag spikes, you may need to check for viruses/malware and check the CPU/GPU temps. If either go above 85C then your going to experience thermal throttling which could cause performance issues.

ive factory reset a load of times before. i dont think its to do with malware. and my temps never go high because i always have the fans high
