[SOLVED] What PSU is recommended and why (RTX 3080 uprgade)?

Hi guys!

I am planning on buying the new rtx 3080 which has a power usage of 320 Watt.
I currently run with 550W PSU and have access to a 650Watt PSU.
But, I am having doubts with the 650W. Will that be enough with my setup below?
If not, what will you recommend and why?

CPU:
i7 7700K 4,2 GH/z

Ram: 16 GB 2133 MHz

Motherboard:
Asustek computer inc. Strix Z270H GAMING K1 (LGA1151)

GRAPHICS:
XB271HU A (2560x1440@165Hz)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 8GB(Gigabyte)

STORAGE:
465GB Samsung SSD 970 EVO 500GB (Unknown (SSD))

if it's a quality PSU even 550W would in theory suffice. 650W will definitely given the 3080 does indeed draw 320W

Sorry, used SPECCY and it apparently cant read my 1070 ti correctly. (corrected to 8 GB)

Great, I was not sure about how much I needed since I have VR too and other stuff.
What happens if my PSU doesnt have enought watts?

depends on the PSU. there's some tolerance levels but obviously it will be stressed.

depending on the level it will ideally trigger a protection and the PSU will cut power
or you will overload and put more load on the psu slowly wearing your unit down
or you will overload your PSU and things get funky
or you will overload your PSU and the unit eventually burns down
