Hello, all. I currently have a Corsair VS550 PSU (The bottom of the line PSU From Corsair).
I have quite a power hungry rig, but I've been told by many people that 550w is more than sufficient. It's the VS550 that's the problem, the VS550 is not meant for desktops of this type. It's meant to go in your old Grannys Pentium 4 GMA graphics pc. So I need your help to help me choose a PSU, so here are my specs:
------------
I7-960@3.2ghz
GTX1050 2GB DDR5
1X8GB Ram (crucial)
1TB WD BLUE 7.2K HDD
Corsair cheapo550W PSU
5 Fans
-----------------
PS: Please don't just link me to https://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator if you can.

Thanks :)
Ben

For that kind of hardware, you can get relatively cheaper but high quality units, like Seasonic S12II/M12II, Corsair CXm(grey label). Those components should not be drawing more than 350w, unless there is something drastically wrong with some part. So anything from 450w and above should be fine. Use these as loose reference...

That's a terrible power supply. You can get the CX550M for the same price and it's significantly better.

@op Your rig isn't really that power hungry. I personally wouldn't buy a new power supply until either it starts giving you problems or you do a major upgrade with your cpu/mobo/RAM. I'd prioritize getting an SSD right now.
