You don't need power supplies that powerful for a simple X-fire setup. 750 or at tops, 800 watts is all you need.

1000 watts will run 2 5970's fine

If you have an Antec 1200, P183, P193, DF-85, then Id get the CP-850 .... anything else, the Corsair AX850
