Hello there. I have a question about what PSU should I use. Right now I have 2 options:
Unknown brand 500 watt 80 plus
Same unknown brand 800 watt generic PSU.
Which one is better?

Solution

The smaller one claims to have 80+ cert so maybe that one. It's more than enough power for a 750 ti at 450 watts even if it can't deliver all 450.
Neither. Unknown brand generic means unlikely to be able to supply rated wattage and "dirty" power that is out of ATX specs that can potentially damage or even destroy your system. Don't skimp on the power supply. It's the most important part of your system.

This are the power supplies (these are brands from my country, that's why I say "unknown brand")

Maybe you can figure something out.
PS: I got i wrong, it's 550 80 plus, not 500 watt. The one there is practically the same with 100 less watts.

Man, I appreciate your will to help me but the problem is that right now I can't buy any PSU. I already own those 2 and I am selling my old pc to buy a nvidia gtx 750 ti which is around 200 dollars here. All I need to knoe which one would be better.
Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot for helping me, didn't know some people still had the will to help

I know. I once had a PSU from the same brand and it burnt. Luckily it didn't screw up my other components. Anyways, I will do what you are telling me and as soon as I have more money I will buy a PSU. Probably thermaltake or coolermaster and at least 80 plus. Thanks.
