Question What PSU Wattage is good?

Hello so my mate has a PC but he is upgrading the i5 7400 and his GTX 970. He has 12GB Ram, 2 Hard drives and an SSD, A lot of USB Devices and a 500w PSU. He will need to upgrade it but can anyone reccomend what wattage he needs?
The parts he will be getting is an I5 7700, RTX 2070.

I would get a decent 650w.
Seasonic Focus Gold , Corsair RMx or EVGA G2 or G3.
