Reason for motherboard...

Also are you using a stock cpu cooler? Is a stock cpu cooler fine with the i7 6700k if I'm not going to over clock it yet?

Why are you getting a B150 motherboard with a 6700k. Its a waste to get a unlocked chip at extra cost and then rendering it useless by taking away the OC factor. Get a Z170 board and you will be able to OC it in future. Also get 16gb but higher channel ram as it will help you OC better.

Alright wasn't aware of that. How about this motherboard and this ram.

Reason for motherboard... http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-motherboards,3984.html

Edit: 6700k doesnt come with a stock cooler.

Solution
First of all, the i7-6700K does not come with a stock cooler.
Nothing exotic is required.
For $35 or so, look to the cryorig H7 or scythe kotetsu
here is a good review:

For ram, more is better than faster.
Buy a 2 x 8gb kit of 1.2v ram. 2400 speed is about the max.

Here is a report on ram speed scaling:
http://www.silentpcreview.com/article1478-page1.html

Do not pay more for fancy coolers, they are mostly marketing. And... tall ram can impact some coolers.

Corsair LPX and g.skil low profile aegis for example.

I found that the added voltage from stock 1.2v to 1,35v needed for speeds higher than 2400 did not work for me.
I think the price was one multiplier lower than I got with stock ram speeds.

The benefit does come if you use integrated graphics, but no gamer does that.

Thanks for the help.
