[SOLVED] what RAM for amd 2700X?

I am thinking of buying an AMD Ryzen 2700x and an asus B450 plus motherboard. What RAM should I buy with it? I was planning on 16gb but I'm not sure what model or speed I should get. ( I use my pc for gaming mostly)

3000 or 3200 MHz, CL 14 or 16. That tends to be the sweet spot (although I think CL 14 can cost a fair bit more).

I personally am running Vengeance RGB 3200mhz 16-18-18-36 and it is doing pretty good on my 1st Gen Ryzen.

But preferably if you can find something with 14-16-16-xx or 14-14-14-xx or 16-16-16-xx that is better (obviously the lower the better).

Good brands are Corsair Vengeance (any vengeance mode is good, though you might want to consider the Vengeance Pro vs the older Vengeance RGB specifically for RGB RAM), G.Skill and HyperX.

I don't know what options or prices are available to you, so I couldn't tell you what exact kit is the best option for you. You have all the information you need to find a kit pretty easily.
