What Ram for i7-860 on a MSI P55 GD65 MoBo

Hi guys
I have an i7-860 quad 2.8GHz on the MSI P55 GD65 board. Running Windows 7 64bit to do some basic video editing and sound work. I plan to use Power Director 9 and Adobe Audition.
What speed DDR3 should I use, 1600 or 2000? One of my 2x2GB G.Skill Trident sticks crapped out & I'm thinking 2x4GB would be about all I can afford. Also, I believe I should just remove the 2GB stick still viable, correct?

1600 is just fine, no need to push it, as u would never be able to see the difference and it could be little bit less stable : )

Thanks for your quick response. 1600's are a lot cheaper. Should I remove to one 2GB stick & replace with the 2x4GBs?
Is there a preferable brand & are the heat sinks necessary or just gimicks? (I have 2-200mm fans and 3-140mms...

Get a matched RAM, its the best thing to do 1otter2.
