Hello friends,

What kind of 16gb memory ram should I get for my build below (brand and frequency)?
Cpu: Ryzen 7 1700
Mobo: Asus Prime B450M-A
GPU: RX 580 8gb (Sapphire)
HDD: 1 Seagate 500 GB
SSD: Rx500 500gb (Should I get SSD1 or SSD4 ?)
PSU: Cx550

I've heard that some memory ram have gotten trouble when pairing up with ryzen 7, in that case would like to know which ram memory to pick (except g.skill which is more expensive from all).

Thanks

Ya, the top one should work well with your Ryzen system. I think the Corsairs recommended above should work well for you also. Either kit should run at rated speeds.
The Ryzen CPUs are fussy about RAM. I have been burned by this (the RAM I bought was 1 letter off from the supported part number and I could only run the RAM at lower speeds). Faster is better with Ryzen.

Unfortuntely, the supported list (https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketAM4/TUF_B450M-PLUS_GAMING/Memory_QVL_For_AMD_Ryzen_2000_Series_Processors.pdf?_ga=2.184258534.1321721464.1541290117-1744673853.1533510051) only lists support for 2nd Gen Ryzen, so it would be hard to recommend something.

Get the best you can afford and hope for the best. If you give me your price range I can probably tell you which ones are good at the egg. Gotta narrow it down from what will work to what will work in my price range. Generally, Samsung B-Die are the bestest for Ryzen, any Ryzen. After 3200 or so low CAS rating is preferred, though, there are still gains going higher. If you get something higher than 3200 and it will only work stable @ 3200, don't be all that worried. Even now after Ryzen+ they're still working on getting the memory controller microcodes correct.

Bro Sorry but I'm still learning about this hardware stuff, what's Samsung b-die ?

I'm going to buy it in the end of this year, can you please take a look in the list below ? There are several options and I could actually pick one of them:
https://mobile.comprasparaguai.com.br/busca/?q=16gb+ddr4

I'm looking for something till USD 170,00 on that list, if you think something more expensive will be better please also tell me and the reason.

Actually I'm kinda lost because I've seen people saying it has to be suitable with my ryzen 7 but also people said it has to suit the Mobo, my Mobo will be the Asus b450 prime, so what's a good option for both my cpu and mobo ?

It's all good. K, here are some more guidelines. You want 2 sticks in a matched set, if you want 16Gb, which should be in your price range, you want 2X8Gb. B-Die is the memory the RAM is made from, it's the actual memory chips on the stick, usually covered by a heatsink of sorts. B-Die is the bestest, followed by C-Die, etc. 2 Sticks will run in dual channel mode, and will be nearly twice as fast as a single stick, all things being equal, in some cases. From your list, most of what's there is gonna be hit or miss as to getting it to rated speeds with the G. Skillz probably being the easiest to get running @ rated.

The next thing is, the 2133/2400 RAM you have listed isn't terrible overclocked, but they all should run at at least that. 2133 is the baseline for DDR4, so that's the slowest, and 2400 is the next step up. From there you hit 2666, then 2800. You have a couple of sticks rated for 2800 in your list, but they're both 1X16Gb G.Skillz. G.Skillz are numbered by what speeds they are, plus the size. For example, the sticks in your list are F4-2800CL15s 16Gb, which translates to 2800 speed, 15 CAS latency, a Single stick and 16Gb total. The B-Die G.Skillz look like F4-3200CL14D 16Gb. The rest of the letters are for color, brand type and RGB. Fire Away if you have more questions.

Hey bro,

Also, I can afford any of the options below:
1 - https://mobile.comprasparaguai.com.br/memoria-patriot-viper-16gb-ddr4-3000-rgb-2x8gb__2332391/
2 - https://mobile.comprasparaguai.com.br/memoria-patriot-viper-16gb-ddr4-2666-rgb-2x8gb__2333000/
3 - https://mobile.comprasparaguai.com.br/mem-ddr4-16gb-2666mhz-corsair-vengeance2x8gb-rgb-led-cmr16gx4m2a2666c16-black__2051636/
4 - https://mobile.comprasparaguai.com.br/mem-ddr4-16gb-2666mhz-corsair-vengeance2x8gb-rgb-pro-cmw16gx4m2a2666c16-preto__2311682/
5 - https://mobile.comprasparaguai.com.br/mem-ddr4-corsair-16gb8x2-2666-vengeance-white__2326326/
6 - https://mobile.comprasparaguai.com.br/mem-ddr4-corsair-16gb8x2-3000-vengeance-blue__2326327/
7 - https://mobile.comprasparaguai.com.br/corsair-vengeance-rgb-pro-memoria-ram-ddr4-2666mhz-16gb-2x-8gb__2312109/

Note I'm only looking for 2x8 not 1x16 since it's faster, I'm looking for 2666mhz or 3000mhz (depending on its price), since I don't really now how to overclock and don't feel secure about that, prefer not doing so.

If you can help me I'll be really happy with it.

Thanks

I like that first one, Patriot Vipers are pretty well known and are good RAM. Well, they're all good RAM, but I think the Vipers would do you best out of that list in the long run.

Solution
You can use a utility like CPU-Z to check the speed at which the RAM is operating (remember it's DDR, so 1066 is really 2133, etc). In most cases you will have to go into BIOS and tell the motherboard to use the higher speed (3000). Before you do that, the RAM will likely run at stock speed (often 2133). If the RAM is not compatible with the system you are likely to get frequent blue screens and crashes.

LoL, I understand man, gotta get that part! Here in the states, from the egg, that Corsair kit is 130 USD or so, the Patriot is a bit more expensive.

Wow so the viper looks like a better option since it's way more expensive hahahaha

Yeah price here is just ridiculous, bet you can get a 32gb with those USD 320,00 you would pay here for a 16 gb basic model ..... Thanks God we've got Paraguai which has plenty stuff with lower price when compared to Brazil lol
