what ram should i buy for my apu

If you would like 16GB RAM:
http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-Desktop-Memory-CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10/dp/B006EWUO22/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1394766826&sr=1-1&keywords=corsair+vengeance+16gb

If you would like 8GB RAM:
http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-240-Pin-Platforms-CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9/dp/B004CRSM4I/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1394766894&sr=1-1&keywords=corsair+vengeance+8gb

If you want the absolute best of the best:
http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Dominator-Platinum-Desktop-CMD16GX3M2A1600C9/dp/B007Z1CVJA/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1394766944&sr=1-2&keywords=corsair+dominator+platinum+16gb

I might add that the Dominator Platinum is not only the best out there, but it looks sooooo good in the case. I shelled out the money to get it myself. Can't say I regret it. Each stick of RAM is hand screened at Corsair as well. I have yet to see someone who wasn't happy with it. I'm definitely convinced it's worth the money. So many times I've gotten RAM that came from the factory with errors. Dominator Platinum......flawless.

Solution
You selected an APU, assuming you aren't going with a discrete graphics card then, for an APU and it's graphics, you are going to have lousy perfoormance by going with a 1600 set of DRAM, your Graphics from the APU draws on your DRAM so the faster the better, with your APU the 5600K I'd look at a 2133/9 set, like the GSkill Snipers or Ripjaws X, they are also stronger sticks than the Corsairs with more OC headroom....

Still wondering why you would have suggested 1600 for a APU in the first place 😉 But as to these 2400 Platinum, have worked with a couple sets of them, first little to no OC headroom, ridiculously overpriced, can get Trident 2666/11 for $10 less or go their 2400/10 Tri X set for $200 and get stronger sticks w/ OC headroom, that $80 could go into other components (Yes I did laugh when I saw them 😉 )

I'm a fan....what can I say. To each his own. 😉 They actually go up to 3000Mhz with some models. And depending on how much RAM you want, it's possible to go over 1,000.00 on them. I can't see a reason to go over 16GB of RAM unless you doing something insane that I'm not even aware exists with your computer. LOL
