So i have got pretty old set of RAM and would like to buy new one. Which one should i buy, keep in mind i have a low budget.

Intel® Core™ i3-2100 Processor
(3M Cache, 3.10 GHz)
4GB DDR3
Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit)
Asus P8P67
AMD HD7770 Core edition 1 gb

You may have compatibility issues if you get different ram. If you get faster ram, it will perform at the same speed of your current ram. Can you get the same model? If you spend money on the 2200mhz ram (the fastest the mobo can handle), then you will not get much performance increase even with the old ram removed.

i totally forgot about this thread, but fortunately I haven't bought anything yet. So my question is should I buy whole new 2x4 GB or add some to my existing 2x2 GB. Cpu-z says my current freq is 660 MHz. I think that G.SKILL RipjawsX series, F3-12800CL10S-8GBXL, DDR3 1600MHz for 45 bucks is the best choice. And throw out my old RAM

i doubt I could get more than 10 bucks fot my current RAM. But thanks really much, I think I'm gona go with the 2x4 RAM for now
