Hi guys,

I need to change the RAM in my computer and it is quite a challenge to choose the right RAM !

Here's my rig :
Thermaltake Spedo
Asus Rampage iii Extreme
Intel core I7 950
Corsair HX1000
Crossfired Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6870x2

Thats pretty all you guys need to know in order to make a choice !!

So here's the choices :

#1 : G.SKILL Ripjaws Series DDR3 2000MHz (PC3-16000) 12GB (3x4GB) Triple Channel Kit (F3-16000CL9T-12GBRM)

#2 : G.SKILL Sniper Gaming Series 12GB (3 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL7T-12GBSR

I'm not necessarely looking for the most expensive and powefull kit, I'm looking for what will suit my setup better considering i will be overclocking both the RAM and the CPU.

If you have some other RAM you'd like to bring up to my attention feel free to do so !

Waiting for you advice/comment !!! 😀

I would go for the second choice if the price is around $50. I lower the speed of my ram before overclocking the cpu, so the net ram speed is what it's rated for. For 1600 ram, I set it manually at 1333 so I can overclock the cpu stable by 20% with the stock heatsink.

i would got with #1.
i have a ripjaw in my desktop, and its been treating me well.
but thats just my bias opinion 😛
at the same time, i dont really hear anything bad about the ripjaws either, so its definitely not a bad choice to go with!
