What ram UGH!

Hey all,

SUPER quick one; currently looking to upgrade my ram; i'm currently sat on 4gb of ram - i had a previous thread open.

I have the following mobo:

Could someone please remove this black spot in my brain with regards to memeory and advise what i should be looking at when i'm looking to buy ram.

will that fit?

By upgrade, do you mean -

another 4gb of the same ram or

8 gb of different ram

or what?

You can choose any from the mobo Support/Memory QVL.

8 of brand new ram; as i understand that buying a new 4gb may have issues with regards to compatability

If you can still buy the exact same ram, you'll be OK.

If not then, as I said "You can choose any from the mobo Support/Memory QVL" - look on the mobo website

Any RAM with the following specs would be the standard choice for the casual gamer with that mobo:

240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM - 1600 mhz (PC3 12800)

For example this would be a good choice for you:

You can of course go higher than 1600 mhz but it's really not needed in standard systems
