Hey guys! Just a question on the quality and resolution on the hdmi to displayport adaptor. I have a displayport on my pc and my tv is 4k, what resolution is displayed if I use the cable hdmi to displayport cable? Or if I use the hdmi to displayport adapter also what resolution is displayed?

Solution
What resolution you get depends on the adapter revision of the ports in use. Newer versions of HDMI have higher data rates. Passive DP adapters tend to just do 1920 x 1080 @ 60hz(1080p)

The adapter, video card and TV should all have specs to let you know what you will get.

If your TV has HDMI, it may already be limited to 4k @ 30hz.
