I am an average pc gamer, I wanted some feed back on a personal matter. I have a decent build but it is being bottlenecked by my CPU.

CPU: FX-6300 (OC - 3.9ghz)
GPU: r9 270x (2 way xfire)
MOBO: MSI 970A G46
PSU: 750wt corsair bronze certified
MEMORY: 8gbs G.skill (1600mghz)
STORAGE: 1tb Western digital cavier blue, 250gb Crucial SSD

I am stuck between two choices; 1) Buy new parts to prevent this bottleneck

-OR- 2) Buy new gaming "accessories"

- Because my gaming monitor and keyboard are both a tad below mediocre, i would say.

All feedback is appreciated, thank you.

I would, and I almost can't believe I'm saying this, recommend going for the monitor/keyboard upgrade then. It sounds like you're less pleased with your monitor than you are with your "bottleneck". If you're playing most of your games on ultra already, then the CPU bottleneck isn't significant enough to be truly concerned with right now. A new monitor with a higher resolution will definitely add a bit more stress to the system, but given your GPU situation, I wouldn't be worried.
It really kind of depends on how you define "a tad below mediocre" and how big a bottleneck you're talking about and in what types of games.

For instance, if you're seeing low FPS is several of the games you play, a CPU upgrade might make these games more enjoyable for you since you'll most likely see an improvement in gameplay.

Conversely if your monitor is subpar, it won't really matter how well you can run the game if you can't enjoy how it looks on the screen.

More info is needed!

I can already play most of my games with ultra preset 900p+. But there are those games like witcher 2 that, with AA max, pressures my system. If i were to "un-bottleneck" my system, I would probably unlock about a 40%+ performance boost.

My words "a tad below mediocre" would more clearly, state that my keyboard is a non-mechanical gaming keyboard ($45). And my main monitor is utter crap, only displaying at 900p -It has bad refresh time, and color contrast is trash.

Thank you for the reply. Is there any more needed info? I am grateful and happy to help. :)
