What router Should i get?

So recently i switch my internet provider to bell fiber with 300mb Download and 150 upload but they installed the modem in my basement. and the wifi the modem provide disconnect all the time when i am not in the basement. So what kinda of router should i get to get the maximum speed? or should i get a access point instead?

I have a Nighthawk X4S running in Access point mode and its been flawless for the year that I've had it and never had an issue reaching top speeds. I only have 100/100 though.
