What Shd I upgrade???

Now I'm powered with,

-Core i3-530(To newer i3? or To Pentium G3258(OC) or To i5?)
-Gtx650 (To Gtx 960?)
-4GB 1066mhz Ram (To 8gb? or 16gb?)
-500 WD (Shd I get and ssd or another hdd or none?)
-Crappy Acer AL1751 1080p Squared monitor from 2008 (Newer, wider LIKE 21.5inch Monitor?)

I'm running Win8 64-bit. It's about my birthday and my dad is giving me one pc part or two for BD presents.
All I did was school video editing and programming. And some online games like HoN LOL. And watching youtube. Checking Mails. Social Networking and Chatting.

If you can get 2 presents outta your dad a new mobo and cpu would be the best choice, but if youll only get one id have to say grab a monitor. You can grab another stick of ram for ~30 dollars btw so you might get away with both of those too lol.

Getting an old i5 for your motherboard is pointless. Either upgrade the CPU/motherboard or don't change the CPU.

To improve most performance i would upgrade to gtx 960 then i5
and if you can pick up a 4gb stick for only like $30


i5+gtx 960+8gb ram is a fast machine

I would not even bother with the GPU upgrade. If all you play is stuff like LoL, a better GPU is just a waste of money.

He should probably go for a i5/i7 if hes only going to play LoL and MMOs like that

they don't take very much gpu they are almost all cpu intensive
but he should definitely get 8gb ram

I doubt he will be able to get an i5 and a motherboard AND another stick of RAM.

an i3 -530 is on the lga 1156 socket, 4 generations "old", he could get a i5 in that "generation" but for the cost (the same as a 1150 socket cpu which is significantly better) would be a waste of money.

I don't have any lga 1150 mobo.....

Exactly. You would have to buy a motherboard. There is no point in upgrading to an i5 for your motherboard because it is too old.
