What should be normal / safe temperature for an i9 7900X at stock speed?

Hi Everyone,

Just completed my first build using an Intel Core i9-7900X. I just wanted to know what is a safe operating temperature for this processor. I'm running it at stock speed (3.30 GHz) and don't use the computer for gaming. The i9-7900X is being cooled by a Corsair H115i liquid cooler in a Corsair Graphite 780T case.

My current ambient temp is 19 degrees Celsius and using Core Temp I have calculated that the current average temp for the i9-7900X is 27.8 Celsius.

I am concerned that when it gets to the Summer the average temperature will invariable rise but at point temperature should I start to get worried? What is a safe operating temp for this cpu? I only use my computer for web browsing and running multiple virtual machines

I can tell you that when playing games whilst running multiple Virtual Machines the CPU is hitting 35 Celsius. Yes, but not very sure how to go about it. I would like a stable overclock if possible. I'll have to do some research into this but any tips you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Delidding is way beyond my skill set!

Yes, but not very sure how to go about it. I would like a stable overclock if possible. I'll have to do some research into this but any tips you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Delidding is way beyond my skill set!

This overclocking guide is pretty good and really easy. And hmm, de lidding isn't hard to do. You could also send it to Silicon Lottery for them to de lid it for you.
