Hi guys,

yesterday I assembled my PC, for around 10 years I was using only laptops. I have an Odyssey 9 monitor (5120x1440) so for gaming I need quite powerfull machine. So that is my setup:
mb: MSI MPG X570 GAMING PRO CARBON WIFI
CPU: Ryzen 3900x
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z Neo F4-3600C14D (2x8GB set in Dual-channel)
GPU: Radeon rx 6900 xt (PowerColor)
SSD: Samsung 980 Pro 1TB on MVNe
PSU: Gigabyte 850W

In general something is not correct on the game, example CS:GO I have 200-300FPS on 5160x1440p while the image is flickering in some periods or it is not smooth. I started some tests. And I'm surprised of such slow GPU RAM read values, SYS RAM is also slow...

According to specs GPU should have 512 GB/s reference link - AMD Radeon™ RX 6900 XT Graphics | AMD
While my results show only
  • write of 17 or 22 GB/s depends on the SYS RAM frequency (on standard 2133Mhz System RAM I have 17GB/s while with XMP 3600Mhz I have 22GB/s)
  • read of 66 or 95 MB/s depends on the SYS RAM frequency
What the hell is that? 65-100MB/s Is that correct or I have wrong expectations?

System RAM is also not satisfying. According to specs Ryzen should support on 3200Mhz ~47GiB/s link Ryzen 9 3900X - AMD - WikiChip

And in my case it is:
  • write 9GB/s or 12 GB/s (on standard 2133Mhz System RAM or with XMP 3600Mhz)
  • read 14 GB/s or 18 GB/s depends on RAM frequency
2 pictures below 1st with 3600 SYS Ram, 2nd with 2133 Sys RAM, just switch the image on the edges
