hi
yes im interested in you opinion and also what do i need to consider when chosing . for example, my old rig is not win 10 compatible... maybe new low cost parts are not worth it vs used pc?

my mobo broke. at bottom the list of my hardware.
i can eighter buy another mobo (cheapest at 62 us https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000550161962.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.3bbe3c00fzDEKm&mp=1 , and get a ssd cause the pc was a bit slow

or buy a used rig. maybe like this one

it look the same , i dont know if it is rev b or c and i didnt keep the papers, nor do i find a purchase link. how can i verify what it is? will it be written on it?
Im just rechecked the spec, Rev B and C still compatible with LGA 1150, so don't worry about it.
The only different is the Rev C come with AMD mount, so they can use for AMD socket too.

why especially b85? other 1150 would nt do?
They have 4 slot RAM, since you have 3 RAM. The rest is same.

if i get 4 slots, can i mix the ram like my 3x 4g with a 2g or a 8 g of other brand other timing? what are the consequences?
Well, since I'm not really familiar with triple channel, I'm not really sure how to answer this.
But usually, if the new RAM is different...

Your old cpu is a already obsolete. Just get a new one.

I think your choice is good. i5-4570 is better than another cpu on the list, and they are already SSD.

new athlon 3000g with mobo and memory for 450 and use my old psu and case.
although they are new, I'm sure the i5-4570 will perform better in editing, since the 3000G only have 2C 4T, and also they are more expensive.

and besides, I have a question. Why don't make your own built ? you can mix the old part with the new part.
just get the i5, Mobo and SSD. The rest use the existing one. More efficient and you can use the remaining fund for other parts (new GPU maybe).

This only my opinion, so don't overthink about it.

could i use my prolimatec mega elm heat sink
do you mean this one ? http://www.prolimatech.com/en/products/detail.asp?id=2148&subid=2211#showtab
based on the their site, they have compability for LGA 1150 (i5 4570), so yes you can use it in new mobo.

and my memory ddr3 triple channel stick and psu with a new i5 and mobo?
if you want to use triple channel, then you have to find mobo with 4 slot RAM, especially chipset B85 (ex : https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/B85PLUS/).

if yes with combo would be best bang for buck?
In my opinion, yes. In my country (IDN), they will cost around 50usd for i5, 45usd for mobo and 38usd for ssd 240G. All of them is used.

i like you strategy of reusing my heat sink, memory and the rest of my pc that works. now the big question is what is the most recent and or power full processor that can fit those specification? i5 4579 4590 are good but if i am to buy something i might as well get the most powerfull stuff that meets these compatibility pieces. could you help me with that? tx

But usually, if the new RAM is different than the others, the mobo will automatically adjust the RAM speed, and sometimes lost their triple channel capability. But it's okay you won't notice the different.

You can up until i7-4790 (4C 8T) for LGA 1150

im searching to build a workable processor to run link quest from oculus.
i already have prolimatec hegahelm that says
nient installation on Intel Socket 775, 1156/1155,1150/1151, 1366 and 2011. A

is there something more power full than i 5 4590 that is still very price affordable?

There is no many option in LGA 1150. I wouldn't recommend another CPU below i7-4xxx ,because the upgrade doesn't worth it. There is CPU called Xeon, but not all motherboards support that CPU.

By the way, i5 4590 meet recommended spec for oculus.

HI
yes i it written so but people say it is ok . meaning a little squeezy.
I had a 920 i7 before. when you says i7-4xxx , are those affordable like the 4590?
im willing to spend a bit more to get better that 4590 but i still want to be in the range that are plenty of pieces and best bang for buck. do you have suggestions?

tx for the link
120 % is not a big jump
Yeah, but it will avoid some issue like bottleneck (in cases you will upgrade a new GPU)

do you think it is worth like 40 dollar more?
US $65.00
Ending 10 Jul at 23:10 EDT6d 8h
C $16.62 shipping
Hmm, sorry I think I can't give a opinion if its's about price, since we have a different currency and market price.

what do you mean byeah, but it will avoid some issue like bottleneck (i
i know the bottleneck principle like a chain as strong as the weakest link but what is the link with 4590 vs other 120% better?

I refer to the many Core i7 have (4Core 8Thread). Even only 20%, you will see the difference.

the prices for the link i provided are wrong i did not see it was a bidding auction.
it turns out this model is very expensive
Well that's so. If you think they are expensive and not worth it, then stay in 4590.
