I have a amd a4 5400 something and i have no gpu, and i prioritize LoL and dota 2, i want to buy a Gtx 1050ti dual oc edition, will it retain the cpu when i buy that gpu? I am only a student gamer, should i buy the gpu? Or buy a new a10 7860k apu, i want to have a high quality and fps rate in gaming LoL and Dota2.

Solution
For fast action shooters, adding a GTX1050ti would be good.
It is not clear exactly what cpu you now have; I can find no A4 5400 processors.
CPU-Z will tell you exactly.

Unfortunately, all a4/a6/a10 processors have slow core speeds that games such as Dota2 require.
processor has relatively slow core performance.
and, there are no good upgrades that will fit on your motherboard.

To see if a better graphics card will help, run this test:
Run YOUR games, but lower your resolution and eye candy.
If your FPS increases, it indicates that your cpu is strong enough to drive a better graphics configuration.
If your FPS stays the same, you are likely more cpu limited.

If you need to upgrade to a better cpu, you are looking at 8/9th gen...

Maybe buy a cpu mobo and ram, and while you are saving money, new nvidia 11 series will be released and you will decide whether to go for 11 series if the difference is huge between 11 and 10 or go for the price dropped 10 series.

This is a bottom level upgrade.

For LOL and Dota 2 I'd want to go with something that has strong single core performance and a dedicated GPU. If you can afford a upgrade around $300 this is what I'd go with.

This will give you a much better balanced build instead of going with just a CPU or GPU upgrade.

If you need to upgrade to a better cpu, you are looking at 8/9th gen intel or ryzen. $200 will buy you a intel G5400, motherboard, and 8gb of ddr4 ram that will do better than what you have.
It will be upgradeable.
