What should I buy

So I want to upgrade either my CPU or my GPU and I don't know which would be better to upgrade, so I need some advice. I have an i5-2400 CPU and an HD 7950 GPU.

It depends what you want to do. If you're gaming you want to upgrade the graphics card, but you're not going to be able to use a new one to full potential without the cpu becoming a bottleneck. In your case you might want to look into a whole new system if you want the latest games.

Yes, I want it for gaming. I only have money for either a CPU or a GPU right now, so if I upgrade my GPU, it will still boost the performance ( Though as you mentioned not at full potential ), right?

The i5 should be good for a little while longer if you don't play cpu-intensive games. And yes, a newer gpu will greatly improve your performance. I would reccomend a GTX 1060 6gb if you can afford it.

Sorry for not anwering sooner, but my budget is 230~ euros.

Or you could look at used cards on ebay, they sometimes have better cards for less because they're used.
