Hello guys

Im playing pubg on 144hz screen and i get arround 90-120 fps. Specs are i3-8100 1060 6gb and 2400mhz 16gb ram.

Im looking to get 2060 gpu and curious if i will get 144 fps and not less. Or should i upgrade my i3 to i5 8400.

You'll probably need an i5 9400F (if your MB can take a 9th gen CPU, if not, then an i5 8600) plus a GTX 2070 Super. Here are the prices:

Here is an estimate at high settings. PUBG is about half way down:

Yes sounds good looking for 9400f locked i5 as im not looking for overclocking and its worth compared to 8100 following to benchmark. And later i will upgrade my gpu to rtx. Only thing which my disturbs is mobo. Its gigabyte z370p d3 and i need to update bios for next gen.

Edit: found 8400k for 30-40 dollar more. Looks like i would take that instead of messing with bios.

8600K? Without overclocking, they are about the same:

By the way, the 9400F fan is loud- you'll probably want to replace it with a 3rd party heatsink. You'll also need a heatsink for that K CPU.

You can get by with this if you are not overclocking:

Thanks i own good cooler. But what should i buy ? 9400f or 8400k ?

8600k i mean. Its 50 dollars more then 9400f but also used.

Its a close call. The 8600K seems to get better 0.01% FPS in some games, but the 9400F is such a bargain. If you use Adobe Premier, then don't get the F models because you need that IGPU for Quick Sync. If you think you might overclock at some point, get the 8600K. If you want to splurge, get the 9600KF.
