Hello everybody, I have recently started upgrading my pc and would like to ask what should be my next step.
I have already upgraded GPU, so I guess it's alright.

However, I have researched that my CPU is probably the worst i5 there is, is that right?, maybe that is the first thing I should be going for. How much would it boost my performance if I upgraded my cpu to like i5 4670k or something.
Anything else you can suggest? thanks in advance

Current System

CPU: Intel Core i5 650 2 core

GPU: GTX 760 Direct CU II

Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd H55M-UD2H

RAM: 8

Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit

Screen resolution: 1920x1080

Yeah the i5-4670k or i5-4690k would be a nice upgrade! also you will need a new motherboard with lga-1150 socet, i would advice a z97 chipset board from asus because asus is a trusted mobo manufacturer and you need a z97 to overclock your cpu.
However you could have chosen a better gpu something like gtx 970 ( in my country they are nearly same price.. ) so you could run your games on ultra settings with your new cpu. If you still have a chance to change it i would do.
z97-k asus is total perfect. its one of the cheapest with z97 chipset, myself i use with i7 4790 and gtx 980 and its more than fine :)

Several options suggest themselves:
Drop a better CPU cooler onto the current processor and overclock (the reviews of that motherboard all state it's a good overclocking part).

Have a look on Craiglist and Ebay and hunt down something better: http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=3309 update the current MB BIOS and it'll be a straight drop in upgrade. Add a better cooler during this upgrade and you'll be able to OC that as well, and I know full well the i5 750 at 3.4GHz is a extremely capable part for its age.

Do the BIG upgrade: CPU/MB/(RAM?) the most expensive and the most forward looking option, you may be able to reuse the existing DDR3 memory, but the current Haswell chips really like fast memory, DDR3 1600 being a reasonable minimum speed.

Me, I'd check out the cooler/overclocking route first, the CPU does have Hyperthreading and a decent base speed but it won't hurt (much) to try and push it a little harder and, as a bonus, you'll be able to move the cooler into any further upgrades later on...Probably.
