The problem here is guys i currently own this system

Processor - INTEL i7 4790k devils canyon(haswell refresh)
Motherboard- ASUS REPUBLIC OF GAMERS MAXIMUS VII HERO
RAM- G.SKILL RIPJAWSX 2x4GB 2133mhz
Cooler- corsair h80i liquid cooler with noctua nt-h1
Graphic card- SAPPHIRE R9 280x VAPOX 3gb
PSU- COOLER MASTER silent pro M 850w
CABINET- corsair air 540 HIGH AIRFLOW (with 3x CM jetflows and 2x CORSAIR AF140)
Lighting- NZXT HUE RGB Controller
Fan controller- NZXT GRID fan controller
Harddisk- WD caviar green 500Gb

What should i do go forward and buy another r9 280x that supports mantle

Or i should get a gtx 770 sli or r9 290x

770 sli wont work as it would be expensive for me

My location is india

What should i do buy a directx 12 card or a r9 280x

Some sites reveal that directx 12 would have larger cover for games than mantle

A GTX 760 woudl be a downgrade from what he is already running, if he wants to upgrade his best options are to get a second 280x, or an 290x which would be my reccomendation and would save him alot of trouble with crossfire and all the glitches and issues with multi gpu setups.

As for Directx12 all of the current generation and next generation will have compatibility with it. So it doesn't matter if you go Nvidia or AMD. The reality is though is there is still no proof mantle has any real effect on performance, as far as we can tell so far it looks like standard optimization on AMD cards and good old driver optimization.

The real question is why do you feel the need to upgrade your...

The real question is why do you feel the need to upgrade your GPU, are you having trouble running games? If so, what games, have you updated your drivers, checked temps, what resolution, settings, etc. As far as I can see, the only bottleneck your system has is your hard drive. Instead of a new GPU, I would say spend that money on a 120GB SSD and a 1TB WD Black or Seagate Barracuda. This would improve the over all experience of using your computer and significantely lower loading times as 'green drives' are very slow, a comprimise they made to lower power consumption. With such a bomb system your hard disk is like a lion with out teeth and claws, sure its big, but it's got no bite.
