What should I do to my current display?

Currently I having a GTX 780 running a Qnix 27 in 1440p monitor, flanked by two dell 2007fp's in portrait. I am planning on buying 2 970s for Christmas and I have been thinking about surround 1440p (how bad would the frame rate be?), surround 1080p with 2 other 27in 1080p monitors flanking my Qnix (will surround work? If so, will it look normal?), or find a home for my Qnix and get 3 1080p displays(24s or 27s?), or get a 21:9 monitor? Thank you for your answers!

You can't have even one different resolution monitor for surround view, so you have to use 3 1080P monitors (unless you want to buy 2 more 1440P monitors).

As for that 1440P monitor, use it as a 4th monitor, for extra stuff like email/chat/YT or whatever besides gaming.

As for frame rate, you will be fine, 3 1080P monitors are easy for twin gtx 970s.

970 sli multimonitoring is an awry choice... since you can get a single 4k grade card like th r9 295x2 at price like 550$ now

i would recommend the 24in monitors since the same amount pixels are squeezed into a smaller inch size, it will give you a more beautiful color reproduction
