[SOLVED] What should i do with my broken portable scanner's glass?

Hello everyone.
I have a terrible problem. I am on a business trip abroad, and i took my portable scanner with me. I have an assignment for my Master's due tomorrow, and the professor wants it scanned. I finished it and proceeded to scan it, but figured out that the glass of my scanner had broken during the travel. The scanned photo (enchanced) looks like this

is there a way to completely remove those lines? Or is it maybe good if i remove the scanners glass and scan without it? I don't have access to another scanner currently and the assignment is due tomorrow morning...

5 minutes in Paintshop Pro, wit the Clone tool.

If I were turning this in, I'd take more time and get all of the offending lines.


I tried the Scratch Remover, but it messed up too much of the text.

Alternate solution:
Your phone camera instead of a scanner.

Thank you very much for giving me the idea. It is about 20 pages, so I will sit and clean them.
