What should I do with my Dell XPS 420 with Q6600?

Hello I am going to build a new computer now that the new stuff is out and I can decide what to build.

I have a Dell XPS 420 with a Q6600 cpu, 4 gigs of ram and a old NVIDIA 8600 GT, upgraded 750 psu, and running Windows 8.

I plan to build a gaming/3D design/rending pc.

What should I do with my Dell? Upgrade parts and use it for something?

Give it to a family member or use it as a surfing machine. Personally I would mod the f**k out of it and create an uber awesome looking pc with not so uber awesome specs.
