Hello!

My name is Ethan, and I'm 14 and I have been wanting to start up a YouTube channel for quite some time now, and I just couldn't with the computer I have now (it served me well for about 5 years). I was wondering what your opinions for what i should upgrade and all that jazz. I will be needing mostly computer upgrades, but if you have some mouse or keyboard suggestions those will be appreciated. Also maybe a second monitor if I still have some cash :D I am hoping to be able to record and stream on 1080p at 60fps. Another thing, is please no AMD. I have had bad experiences with them. I also just prefer nVIDIA and Intel. One last thing. Everything I will be buying, I sell the older part. Kinda obvious, but who cares :p So my budget is around $1000 CAD ($755 USD) and I will give you the prices for how much I could get from selling my parts (according to ebay).

My current PC & Stuff:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 @3.40GHz -$60-80
GPU: Radeon HD 5670 Sapphire 1GB GDDR5 OC'd to the max -$50
RAM: 16GB Corsair VengeanceLP -$125
MOBO: (this is what it says on the box) Asus M4A79XTD EVO -$50-75
PSU: CoolerMaster eXtreme Power Plus 550W -$85
CASE: NZXT Hades Crafted Series HADE-001BK Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower -$70 on newegg (couldn't find it on Ebay)

MOUSE: GX GAMING GILA -$70
KEYBOARD: Some Staples keyboard my friend gave me after i split water on my Roccat Isku -$? I It's a Staples keyboard... It's probably like 5 bucks.
SCREEN: Gateway FHX2402L BID 24" LED Monitor -$100? (23" is $90 so this is just a guess)
HEADPHONES: Corsair Vengeance 1500 -$35

Extra:
XFX GeForce GTX 285 (my friend gave me it, even though the 5670 is better) -$60

TOTAL: $730 USD (well around that mark i think)
So $1485 USD for a whole PC and peripherals (but I don't think I will have to sell EVERYTHING, but who knows :3)

ALL PRICES I GAVE ARE EXPRESSED IN USD TO MAKE IT EASIER :D
Also if you have any corrections for the prices, then feel free to tell me :D I'm just using what they are listing for on Ebay :3
I'm hoping i would be able to get an i7-4790k and a GTX 980 but i think I'm setting my sights way to high :p
For mouse and keyboards, I really have a thing for Razer :p
For the case, just get something with good airflow, and looks sweet. I like this kinda style, but those cases are just to damn expensive xD

Ok. You can reuse the 16GB RAM, storage, optical drive with this build. The stock fan can handle low overclocks. If you want to overclock it alot, I suggest you add a aftermarket CPU Cooler in the future.

Ok I looked at the parts and they all seem pretty good! I was wondering, i may be able to get an i7-4790k, for just $100 more, and it will be a great upgrade. Think the i7 would be a bit overkill? or not. Or maybe just save some extra money overall, or maybe put it towards some peripherals? Maybe a capture card? I think the Algato is around $100, but ShadowPlay may just be fine. If you have any suggestions for peripherals, that would be great, but it doesn't really matter :D Anyway, thanks for all the help man! I really appreciate it :)

Save it for peripherals or a capture card. You can easily stream/ do YouTube with the i5-4690k w/ 16GB RAM.
For keyboard/mouse go with the Thermaltake Commander Bundle. It's pretty good for it's price.
