Okay so now that AMD is soon releasing the new Fury X and Nvidia newly released the 980 Ti I am wondering of what i should get?

My plan was to get 2 of the 980 Ti cards, with the Acer XB270HU Gsync monitor, But since AMD is releasing the Fury X and they say it will be "faster" then i kinda want to get 2 of those and the ASUS MG279Q FreeSync monitor...

And what are your thoughts about the price on the Fury X?

AMD have been more bang for buck for a few years now, and I don't see them ruining something that is perfect anytime soon. As for which one is a better choice. I have no doubts what so ever that the only actual noticeable difference is going to be the Nvidia and AMD exclusive in-game settings. I believe PhysX is going to be in more games not only Batman being the main one, as that was quite big, but honestly. Time will tell.

Looks like the Fury will have 8GB of memory, which may give it the edge at very high resolutions (eyefinity/4k), plus they have Mantle and HBM going for them. NVIDIA will probably still be more efficient, but most gamers don't care too much about that, unless they have a small form factor PC. NVIDIA also has the Shield Streaming, GRID, and Shadowplay going for it, if you're into any of those.

I'm hoping to pull the trigger on one or the other soon too. If nothing else, the next few weeks should start a nice little wave of price cuts; although the newer cards may be sold out at first.

I'd wait for Furry benchmarks. Both monitors look fantastic. The Acer is currently $200 more. I'm strongly considering the Asus myself. I already have a 290x. Crossfire doesn't work with freesync yet, but it's just a matter of time. Imo, one high end card should be plenty of power for a single 1440p with variable refresh.
