Hey there guys, after about 4 years of no hardware upgrade I am starting to look into what I should prioritize considering the parts I already own.

Here is my rig right now:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4590 CPU @ 3.30GHz
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
Video Card #2: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600
Ram: 8,00GB DDR3
Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology, Ltd. Z97X-Gaming 3
SSD: Samsung SSD 850 PRO 256GB
HDD: ST1000DM003-1ER162

My main goal is to play with higher fps. Now, for example in the new game apex, I play with like 40-50 fps with all the settings on low, and I really wanna upgrade that to have a medium of 60-70 fps with the med settings. Thank everyone for any help given.

No problem. You cant use DDR4 with your current motherboard. You would need a new board and CPU to use DDR4. On the cheaper side you could upgrade to a RYZEN 5 2600 16gb RAM build for about $350-380. Mid range unlocked i5 8600k 16gb build would be about $450-500.

For GPU if you can find one the GTX 1070 is a good fit. If you could stretch that budget to $350 you could get an RTX 2060. Or for a little less than $300 you could get an RX580 or 590, they perform very similarly.

The first thing I would upgrade is the GPU. Then maybe look at upgrading to a modern intel or ryzen platform which would require DDR4 RAM, a new motherboard, and CPU. If you post your budget for a GPU I could recommend something.

I have like 300$ for a GPU. Btw how much would it cost upgrade the RAM to a decent DDR4?

Thank you for the answer!

Okey! Thank you so much for the help, I will change it for one of those.

Hello again!

Yesterday I was looking for GPUs and I probably gonna buy the GTX 1070 or the RTX 2060 but I saw a lot of forums and videos discussing about what of those cards is better, in your opinion, wich of those is better?

Well the RTX 2060 certainly performs better, it's closer in performance to a GTX 1080. It's seems most peoples complaints about the 2060 revolve around it's price, it's one of the most expensive "6 series" cards nvidia has ever put out. Also the fact it only has 6gb of VRAM which from benchmarks I have seen is not a problem yet even at 1440p.
