I just built my computer about a year and a half ago now and am looking to update some components. Currently I have done some updating but did not really think through for the future when I built my pc last year. My specs are as shown below

CPU- AMD FX 8150
Mobo- Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 Rev 3
RAM- Gskill Ripjaw 1600mhz 8gb
GPU- GTX 780
PSU- Seasonic 750 Watt 80 plus gold Modular
Boot SSD- 240gb Gskill Phenix 3
HDD 1- Seagate Berracuda 7200rpm 2TB
HDD 2- Seagate Berracuda 5900rpm 2TB
External HDD- Seagate Backup Plus 2TB USB 3.0

I am having some issues on how to make my next move. I basically have one major problem with my rig currently and that is my mobo does not support SLI. I currently have the 780 as I listed above but down the road what if I want to move to SLI as a viable alternative to updating my GPU? With this dilemma I am faced with 3 choices that I can see. Choice one being the easy and cheap one just get a new AM3+ mobo that supports SLI. Choice number two being most likely cheaper than 3 but more expensive than 1 wait for AMD to release new CPU and Socket (if they do change the socket). Last but not least choice number three being just jump the AMD ship all together and go Intel being the most expensive of the bunch I would not like to do this but if it is best than I will.

I understand that at this point my rig needs no updates it runs all my games and programs without a hitch but I want to plan for the future. I would like to stay with AMD as far as CPU goes just because I like that they have a lot of room to improve in the coming years. As far as mobo goes if you all suggest getting a new am3+ mobo I am going to get the Gigabyte 990fx ud3 mobo because I love my current mobo unless gigabyte comes out with a new mobo when you all read this lol.

Anyways thanks for the help you have all given my with my questions before and I hope I can get an answer for this one!
