What Should I upgrade CPU or GPU?

I want to upgrade this build but do not know which to upgrade. I am also considering on purchasing an After Market CPU cooler for OC. I am looking at either upgrading my fx 6300 to a fx 8350, or my r9 280 to a newer AMD card being released later this summer (or a better older card since prices will go down).

What do you play mainly? Or do you mainly play?

If so, the answer 90% of the time is the GPU as it will have a far greater impact on performance in games.

You'll see far more benefit at a far lower cost from an aftermarket cooler & a 4.2ghz overclock on the 6300 than you will from a upgrade to a 8350 mate - that's 100% definite.
Overclock & GPU upgrade would be the best choice.

I mainly play DayZ, BF4, Dying Light. Those Type of games.

Get a more powerful GPU, for sure.

It will make a far bigger difference in those games than a CPU could.

A good cooler and moderate OC (4.4-4.5GHz) will be enough for that CPU. You can usually do it with a Hyper 212 EVO and near stock voltages on the FX 6300.

I would invest in a better GPU when they come out.

Wait to see how well Zen does on the new AM4 platform next year.

What is the point of a massive CPU upgrade over getting a far more powerful GPU? I am intrigued.
